His work spans original songwriting, music arrangement, film scores, and community folk workshops - all anchored by deep respect for the music of the soil .
The theme of “people” has appeared again and again in his songs. The resonance of his innate and effortless melodies has reached audiences from stages across various cities of India to the Harrow Music Festival in London.
He believes that “the people of Bengal are deeply intertwined with its rivers, fields, and paddy lands; the primordial spirit of Bengal can be felt in the ceaseless flow of its rivers.”
That is why Deepmoy’s songs speak directly from the heart and soul of Bengal.
Since 2015 , he has also been creating music for cinemas and Durga Puja, Kolkata’s traditional festivals and his voice has been heard on most of the television channels and radio stations.
